Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827):

Beethoven was a german composer and pianist who had a musical family and a very unhappy childhood. he worked under the modified patronage system and was one of the first composers to be treated like an equal instead of a servant. He was an eccentric genius who was welcomed in vienna and played piano for Mozart while he was there. He was taught by the composer Joseph Hydan who was almost as good as mozart.  he worte many musical pieces while he was alive such as Symphony No.5 in C minor in sonata-allegro form and even wrote one for Napoleon.  Even though he went deaf he continued to create some of the greatest muscial works known to man. He died on march 26, 1827 from what seemed to be post-hepatic cirrhosis of the liver.
